AMBOS Project

AMBOS (Art Made Between Opposite Sides) Project is an ongoing series of artist interventions and collaborations that address bi-national transition and identity in the US/Mexico border region, founded by artist Tanya Aguiñiga. I have been collaborating with AMBOS since 2017 and have built relationships with artists, activists, and organizations along the US-México border, helped shape virtual communications for the collective, collaborated on performances at the border, and helped ideate and design exhibitions, education projects, and fundraisers for mutual aid to support refugees at the border. In 2023, I was one of the artists working on a community-based collaborative artwork for Made in LA: Acts of Living, the Hammer Museum Biennial.
